Jeffrey Clark Retires from Meridian Cooperative Board

Atlanta GA – January 2, 2024 – After an illustrious 50-year career, Jeffery T. Clark has retired as CEO of Jones-Onslow EMC. In addition to his leadership at Jones-Onslow, Jeff has also held a pivotal role on the board of Meridian Cooperative.

Jeff Clark’s tenure in the electric cooperative world has been both notable and impactful. Starting in 1974 as a night dispatcher at Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Jeff’s dedication has led him through diverse roles and responsibilities in the industry. Over his 18 years at WREC, he transitioned from customer service to staking and engineering, and eventually to internal auditing.

In 1992, Jeff moved to North Carolina to join Four County EMC as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting. In 2000, he joined Jones-Onslow EMC where he advanced to Chief Financial Officer in 2002. In 2016, he took the helm as CEO.

Jeff received the Man of the Year accolade in 2018, which celebrated his consistent service and contributions to the Onslow County community.

As Jeff transitions into retirement, there’s one thing we hope remains unchanged – his passion for golf. Jeff, as you tee off into retirement, we wish you many more holes-in-one, both on the golf course and in life. Thank you for your invaluable service to the Meridian Enterprise and to the broader electric cooperative community. You will be missed!
