More Than Training: How Our Learning & Performance Team is Transforming the Member Experience

Our mission is simple: help our members succeed.

We do that by ensuring they can access the documentation and training they need to confidently use Meridian Cooperative solutions. Every help topic we publish, every release note we write, and every course we develop is ultimately focused on our members’ success.

Making a Meaningful Impact

The most important measure of our success is whether we make it easier for our users to find answers.

Meridian’s Learning & Performance team has worked tirelessly to transform how knowledge is delivered. Not only did we migrate to a new and more robust Learning Management System, but we also expanded our Online Help capabilities, reducing our dependence on static PDFs. We will continue to strengthen connections between documentation and learning through cross-linking and improved search capabilities. One of the greatest challenges organizations like ours face is information fragmentation. Training lives in one place, documentation in another, and operational knowledge somewhere else.

Rather than continuing to treat these as separate functions, our teams embraced a different vision: a connected knowledge ecosystem. By focusing on how information is connected rather than where it resides, we are helping shape a more scalable and sustainable approach to knowledge management.

The successes of the past six months are not the result of any one person. It reflects a team that consistently puts members first, supports one another, and embraces challenges that would overwhelm many organizations.

I have never worked with a team that demonstrates the same level of commitment, collaboration, and accountability as this L&P group. When a project needs to be completed, they don’t simply check a box and move on, they invest the necessary time to get it right. Whether leading a major system migration, redesigning processes, creating new learning experiences, or improving how knowledge is delivered to our members, they approach every initiative with a focus on quality and long-term value.

What impresses me most is how they support one another and contribute to broader business initiatives beyond their own responsibilities. Team members willingly step in where needed, share expertise, solve problems together, and remain focused on the collective outcome rather than individual recognition.

No matter what challenges arose, they remained committed to the same goal: helping our members succeed. That dedication is evident in every course, every help topic, every process improvement, and every project they deliver.

Looking Forward

We are honored to be recognized as a nominee for the OnCon Top 100 Learning & Development Teams Award.

If you have ever worked with our team, benefited from our training, used our documentation, or seen firsthand the dedication they bring to every initiative, we would be honored to have your support.

Thank you for helping us celebrate a team that consistently demonstrates innovation, collaboration, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to those we serve!
